Tuition and Financial Support
Current tuition to Pacific is $910 per credit for the 41 credit MAT.
Financial aid and scholarships are available through Pacific.
Arbor offers a monthly stipend to all Teacher Residents. For our 2026-2028 cohort, this will be $1500/month from July 2026 through June 2028.
Summer employment opportunities are available at Arbor School after the first year of Residency.
On-campus housing is available (rent-free, $75/month for utilities). Apply early to secure a spot in our 4 person house.
ACT Fellowship (see below). Fellowship application materials are offered upon request after applying to the program and interviewing at Arbor School.
The Ferris Fund at Arbor offers a zero interest loan for all student teaching course credits in Year 2 of the Residency.
ACT Fellowship & ELIGIBILITY
The ACT offers Fellowship positions for Teacher Resident candidates from backgrounds currently under-represented in teaching as defined by the annual Oregon Educator Equity Report. Beyond the stipend and housing, course books, and mentorship offered to all Teacher Residents, those who are awarded an ACT Fellowship will receive tuition support up to half the cost of tuition for the MAT program at Pacific University, as well as ongoing mentorship throughout two years of graduate study and during the first teaching position held after completing the program.
Teacher Resident candidates are eligible for the fellowship if they:
are accepted to the Arbor Center for Teaching Residency through Pacific University
have a background currently under-represented in the teaching profession as defined by the annual Oregon Educator Equity Report
have a strong liberal arts background and high academic achievement
